R&D – Damned to fail? : Raymond Schadeck

BIO: Raymond is a former partner of Arthur Andersen in Luxembourg, which became part of the Ernst & Young network in 2001. Here, he held a number of key positions, including those of COO, CFO and CEO. Raymond stayed with his first employer for 29 years, before deciding to leverage his extensive experience in finance, company and project management to act as non-executive director for major international and national groups and companies and for business, philanthropic and social organizations.

TALK: Raymond will talk about research and development. In today’s society, he sees an underlying aversion to risk that is one of the main obstacles to the exploitation of innovative ideas. Thus, R&D too rarely ends up in readily marketable business solutions. Raymond argues, that if we do not change our mindset, our investments will be damned to fail…
