Moving to Victory Street: Marie Muller

Marie Muller is a German-born Luxembourgish judoka. Marie Muller’s first big international achievement was the bronze medal at EM U23 tournament in Ljubljana in 2004. Since that competition Marie has participated in more than 100 tournaments including the Beijing Olympic Games in China 2008. Her best achievement besides participating in the Olympics was a silver medal at the grand slam in Rio de Janeiro in 2010. She belongs to the world top 20 in her category. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Marie narrowly missed the historic chance of winning a bronze medal for Luxembourg. In this riveting talk, Marie Müller explains how she narrowly missed the historic chance of winning an olympic medal for her country. It’s an inside look at the professional sports world with all the pain and pressure countered by hope, dedication and courage. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
